The Lookout is a planned community within the town of Chelan in Chelan County, Washington. The community is made up of mostly vacation homes and rental cabins.
History[]
The community started in the mid to late 2000s and was developed by Casey Roloff, who also developed Seabrook. The community was planned to be pedestrian friendly and have it's own small shopping district as well as parks. It was meant to be more of a neighborhood of Chelan then a complete new town like Seabrook was.
Geography[]
The community sits on a hill overlooking downtown Chelan 1 mile to the southeast. Lake Chelan is to the south, and Manson is to the northwest.
Climate[]
The climate is warm during summer when temperatures tend to be in the 70's and 80's and very cold during winter when temperatures tend to be in the 30's.
The warmest month of the year is August with an average maximum temperature of 84.90 degrees Fahrenheit, while the coldest month of the year is January with an average minimum temperature of 21.90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Temperature variations between night and day tend to be moderate during summer with a difference that can reach 24 degrees Fahrenheit, and fairly limited during winter with an average difference of 12 degrees Fahrenheit.
The annual average precipitation at Chelan is 11.34 Inches. Rainfall in is fairly evenly distributed throughout the year. The wettest month of the year is December with an average rainfall of 1.74 Inches.
