Moore is an extinct town in Chelan County, Washington. There are still docks onto the land that was once Moore and it is still a popular camping area. It cannot be accessed by car, only by boat.
There are campsites at the Moore Point Campground, which is located where the former town was.
History[]
A post office called Moore was opened in 1892. J. Robert Moore, an early postmaster, gave the community his name and ran a summer hotel there for over 20 years. He passed away in 1909 and the whole property was sold to H. Frank Hubbard on June 17, 1912. The post office continued to operate until it's closure in 1955.
